Shop 2-Position, 2-Way, Normally Closed Direct Acting KIP Solenoid Valves
Engineers prefer Norgren KIP solenoid valves for their versatility and reliability in critical applications, ranging from sophisticated medical diagnostic tools to challenging environmental conditions. With the potential for millions of cycles before retrofitting or replacement, KIP controls offer long-term performance assurance. Available in both 2 and 3-way configurations, they come in different housing styles to suit diverse applications. These valves are compatible with various liquids and gases and are UL recognized. Standard Norgren KIP valves feature spring-compensated Fluorocarbon upper seals paired with Buna-N lower seals and O-Rings for optimal performance. Both upper and lower seals are also available in the following seal materials:
Buna N: General purpose, soft, synthetic rubber suitable for most air, non-potable water, and light oil environments with temperatures to 200F.
Fluorocarbon: Soft, fluorocarbon rubber used primarily with hydrocarbon liquids such as gasoline, aerospace fuels, solvents, etc. which can cause
swelling and distortion to Buna. Also used for oxygen service. Appropriate for higher temp ranges and more resistant to 'dry' heat.
Ethylene Propylene (EPR) Food Grade: Soft, synthetic rubber ideal for beverages, potable water and steam (where steam pressure is below 50psi).
Suitable for steam and hot water where temps are above Buna's tolerances. EPR is not appropriate for petroleum liquids or petroleum-contaminated
air. Compatible with automotive brake fluids and phosphate ester synthetic oil.
