BSPP Plug Adapters are fittings designed to seal unused BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) ports in hydraulic and fluid power systems. The male adapter features a metal-to-metal or metal-to-metal with O-ring seal, ensuring a secure, leak-free connection. The female swivel BSPP has a tapered nose flareless swivel, where the seal is made by the cone seat of the male connector. These adapters are similar to, but not interchangeable with, NPT or NPSM fittings, as they differ in thread pitch and outside diameter (OD). BSPP threads are designated with a "G" for parallel threads, such as BSPP 1/4-19, which is also referred to as G 1/4. BSPP Plug adapters are ideal for preventing leakage in fluid systems, and thread sealant is recommended for securing the connection.
