Shop Load Holding Counterbalance Valves
A load holding counterbalance valve is a specialized pressure control valve used to prevent loads on hydraulic cylinders or motors from dropping or running away uncontrollably. Also known as over-center valves, these valves include counterbalance valves and pilot-operated check valves. They work by regulating the flow of fluid in one direction while allowing free flow in the opposite direction. This mechanism ensures that the load remains safely held in position even when the hydraulic system is not actively applying pressure. Load holding valves are essential for maintaining stability and safety in hydraulic systems, particularly in applications where heavy loads need to be held securely without the risk of sudden movement.
