It doesn’t matter which side you choose first, because our website lets you choose the right adapter in either direction. In hydraulic systems, the terms "male" and "female" refer to how the adapter connects to other parts. Male adapters have external threads that screw into a female connection. Female adapters have internal threads that accept the male connection. In short, a male adapter connects to a female adapter, with the male having the external threads and the female having the internal threads. Both connection styles are available below, and are key for securely joining hydraulic components, ensuring a tight, leak-free fit.
