A TWG DP Winch Series 65 is a robust planetary winch capable of pulling up to 65,000 pounds of weight. It features a balanced brake piston system for smooth operation and control. This winch comes with options for smooth and grooved cable drums, allowing it to store up to 200 feet of 1-inch diameter rope. Additional options include motors, bases, and freespool capabilities, providing flexibility for different applications. Designed for heavy-duty tasks, the Series 65 winch ensures reliable performance and durability, making it suitable for demanding industries such as construction, mining, and marine operations.
Manual Kickout/Spring Engage: A 'kickout’ is a manual clutch mechanism that engages an input shaft to turn your winch, typically lever operated but can be pneumatically or hydraulically activated.
Base with Fairlead: A ‘fairlead’ guides the cable out of the winch, typically a 4-roller design.
Tensioner: A mechanism that holds the cable on the drum so it doesn’t unravel and become tangled under low tension. Typical tensioner systems are a simple spring design.
Drum Rotation: Direction of drum rotation viewed from motor when paying in (pulling in or lifting).

For safety, 5 wraps of wire rope must be maintained at all times.
DP Winch products are not to be used to lift, hoist or move people. If your task involves lifting or moving people, you MUST use the proper equipment; not a DP Winch product. Wire rope anchors on winches are not designed to hold the rated load of the winch. You must keep at least five (5) wraps of wire rope on the drum to insure the wire rope doesn't come loose. Stay clear of suspended loads and of wire rope under tension. A broken wire rope or dropped load can cause serious injury or death. Make sure that all equipment, including the winch and wire rope, is maintained properly. Avoid shock loads. This type of load imposes a strain on a winch many times the actual weight of the load and can cause failure of the wire rope or of the winch. Winch operators must be trained in the proper, safe operations of the winch. The hydraulic system should use only high quality hydraulic oils from reputable suppliers. These oils should contain additives to prevent foaming and oxidation in the system. All winch systems should be equipped with a return line filter capable of filtering 10-micron particles from the system. Please contact OneHydraulics if you need assistance with fluid selection.
